Nothing says summer nights like laying on your back with your love or buddies and waiting for a shooting star. Whitewater, located amidst forest and countryside, has little light pollution. This makes for THEE BEST star-gazing. Throw a blanket down at Bluff Creek State Natural Area (off Millis Rd.) and enjoy the sounds of trickling water and crickets. Not a fan of bugs and nature? Hike up the “Bridge to Nowhere” over Hwy 12 and watch the stars as traffic whizzes by below.
