R and W Townline Road, Whitewater, Wisconsin 53190, United States
The historic Heart Prairie Lutheran Church, maintained and operated by First English Lutheran, holds services all summer and on Christmas Eve. Three summer services each year are held under oil lamplight set to a translated liturgy once used in the original Norwegian Hoisse Masse by settlers when they first arrived. One of the longest continuously running churches in Wisconsin (possibly the longest), it's currently home to the manual pump organ. Originally used in the Morris Pratt Institute, it's now played during Heart Prairie's services.
